I don’t know about you, but we are excited for the 29th ASM Heat Treating Society Conference and Exhibition and Gear Expo! Taking place in Columbus, Ohio, the show will go from October 24-26.
As of the time of this post, there are just five days until the show starts. Just five days until we all get to talk about the latest, most exciting things going on at our companies and within the industry. Five days until we can sit in on industry leaders sharing their expertise and knowledge in educational sessions. Five days until we can meet up with old friends and peers, as well as welcome those who are new to the industry.
It will be a mixture of networking, learning and new discoveries. What’s not to be excited about?
For us, trade shows are a chance to share the newest, coolest things we’re doing, while also having a bit of fun. Anyone remember the paper airplane contest?
How about the Star Wars photo shoot?
Clearly, we like to have fun. This year, we are excited to talk about what Ipsen is up to, including providing a close-up look at how we are bringing augmented reality to our equipment.
If you’re intrigued by augmented reality, make sure you don’t miss our presentation on the show floor: The Predictive Maintenance Experience: PdMetrics® with Augmented Reality. It will take place on Wednesday, October 25 at 2 p.m., and during it, the instructor will demonstrate how new technology and interactive features – such as augmented reality and real-time monitoring – are transforming the way operators experience their equipment and perform maintenance.
There will also be several other presentations during the show that you don’t want to miss:

It takes place in the Solutions Center, which features free presentations on solving manufacturing problems and/or improving production.
Achieving Production Flexibility with Automated Multicell Systems | Janusz Kowalewski, Wednesday, October 25, 2:20 p.m. (A220-222)
As technology advances at an accelerated pace, the focus on achieving leaner, more streamlined operations also continues to grow. This presentation examines the many solutions multicell systems offer, all of which makes them adaptable to a variety of plant configurations and changing production processes.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the show – and we hope you share our excitement! Take the time to come visit us during ASM Heat Treat/Gear Expo 2017 at booth #1801. You can try out augmented reality for yourself, chat with Ipsen experts and have any pressing questions answered.
We can’t wait to see you there!
