Today, we are spotlighting a furnace designed and built for PMF Industries in Pennsylvania. PMF uses their new furnace to manufacture stainless steel, flowformed products for the Aerospace industry.
This beast comes fully equipped with 48” x 84” (1,219 mm x 2,134 mm) all-graphite hot zone with a 6,000-pound (2,722 kg) load capacity. It uses gas cooling to 2-bar absolute pressure and operates at temperatures of 1,000 °F to 2,400 °F (538 °C to 1,316 °C). This furnace also features a 35-inch (889 mm) Varian diffusion pump and Ipsen’s CompuVac® control system.
